While an attorney, specializing in Internet and new media law, my passion is for herptiles, ecology, science fiction, and the future, not necessarily in that order.
I am active in the Southwestern Herpetologists Society, a club in Southern California about reptiles and amphibians. I advise this group about legislation and regulations that may affect it and lobby on its behalf. I work with various groups to help preserve and protect all 1,087 acres of the Ballona Wetlands, the last wetlands in Los Angeles. I am also active in animal rescue, being the Executive Director of the Reptile and Amphibian Rescue Network.
I have a passion for movies and movie-making and have worked on every aspect of film and television there is. I also produce and have produced both television programs and live theatre.
In a bookstore, you can find me in the science fiction section, although I often peruse the sections on history (don't get me started on the Navy during the American Civil War), cooking, philosophy, science, computers, or any of a million other of my varied interests.
I hang glide.
My political leanings are unusual. You will have to check out my journal to see how unusual. I believe in a one world government. As a jew, I find it very hard to be impartial about the current problems with the middle east.
